Kids ages 10 and up who want to learn to sew will make a decorative pillow, tote bag and pajama pants.

Kids ages 10 and up who want to learn to sew more, will make a sundress and funky purse.  This class is for students who have completed Kids’ Camp I.

Beginning Sewing I

Basic Skills – Instructor Gina Coleman

If you know absolutely nothing about sewing, or haven’t sewn in more years than you‘d care to remember, then this class is for you.  You’ll learn about sewing equipment and fabrics, practice hand stitching and make a decorative pillow using our sewing machine.

Confident Beginner Quilting Skill Required

Tessellating Log Cabin – Instructor Rita Matson

In this log cabin quilt you can use 4 or 40 different fabrics and make the traditional clamshell pattern.  You choose the look you want.

Serger Basics – Instructor Gina Coleman

Whether you’ve just purchased a new serger or have one that lives in your closet because you can’t figure out how to use it, in this class you will learn how to thread your machine and set it up for the four basic stitches.  All brands are welcome in this class if accompanied by instruction manuals.  Bring your machine, accessories, thread and scissors to class.

Beginners level

Paper Piecing Technique Class – Instructor Rita Matson

Come and learn Alex Anderson’s way to paper piece.   You will create a quilt block and take home the basic understanding of this fun piecing method.

Charm Party Tote – Instructor Marsha Pringle

Grab a stack of five-inch charm squares and a yard of pretty matching fabric and create your own unique tote.  Tote has two large inside pockets and an envelope style outside pocket.

With Your Serger . . .

Heirloom Pillowcase – Instructor Gina Coleman

Make a decorative pillowcase with heirloom techniques including “crocheted” lace edging, all on your serger.

Beginner Level

Quilt in a Day Tossed 9 Patch - Instructor Rita Matson

This very easy quilt can be made with charm squares, fat quarters or your stash.  Your choice of fabric will create a planned or scrappy look.

Beginning Quilting Class

Easy 4 Patch Quilt – Instructor Diane Russell

In this class you will learn all the basics.  You will learn how to accurately   measure, rotary cut, and machine piece your fabric.  We will add borders too.  Then we will quilt and bind your lap size quilt.

Class Fee $55  plus materials.  Supply list given at sign up.

5 Sessions – Tues. Sept. 9^th – Oct. 7^th 9:30am – 1:30pm

 

U-Fit Basic Pattern Fitting Class – Instructor Anne Marie Holliday

In this class you will create a “map” of your body using a sloper pattern to custom fit any commercial pattern (dress, skirt, top).  This is a very popular class, and seating is limited, so sign up soon.

MY LABEL Software Group – With Anne Marie Holliday

If you own My Label software, are thinking about buying it, or just want to see what it’s all about – then join us the third Saturday of each month, from 11am to 1pm.  We will be helping each other with measurement issues, fit issues, and share ideas, learning experiences and discuss how to change base patterns to create new designs.  We’ll have show and tell of our creations as well.
